"NEW YORK (AP) - Hundreds of angry people marched through Harlem on Saturday after the Rev. Al Sharpton promised to "close this city down" to protest the acquittals of three police detectives in the 50-shot barrage that killed a groom on his wedding day and wounded two friends.
"We strategically know how to stop the city so people stand still and realize that you do not have the right to shoot down unarmed, innocent civilians," Sharpton told an overflow crowd of several hundred people at his National Action Network office in the historically black Manhattan neighborhood. "This city is going to deal with the blood of Sean Bell."
Sharpton was joined by the family of 23-year-old Sean Bell - a black man - and a friend of Bell who was wounded in the 2006 shooting outside a Queens strip club. Two of the three officers charged were also black.
The rally at Sharpton's office was followed by a 20-block march down Malcolm X Boulevard and then across 125th Street, Harlem's main business thoroughfare, where some bystanders yelled out "Kill the police!"
In the previously cited article Sharpton is quotes as saying:
"They never accused Sean Bell of doing anything. Then why is he dead?" Sharpton asked, his voice roaring with anger. Authorities "have shown now that they will not hold police accountable. Well, guess what? If you won't, we will!"
Excellent point Al! Accountability, now that is a real concept. Say , Al, while we're on the subject, when are you ever going to be held accountable for Freddy's Fashion Mart?
What you've never heard of Freddy's Fashion Mart? Well let me tell you something baby, in 1995 Al Shartpon payed Freddy's Fashion Mart a visit and he was open for business! According to Wikipedia.Org...
"In 1995, a black Pentecostal Church, the United House of Prayer, which owned a retail property on 125th Street, asked Fred Harari, a Jewish tenant who operated Freddie's Fashion Mart, to evict his longtime subtenant, a black-owned record store called The Record Shack. Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the planned eviction of The Record Shack.[41][42][43] Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business."[44] On 1995-12-08, Roland J. Smith Jr., one of the protesters, entered the store with a gun and flammable liquid, shot several customers and set the store on fire. The gunman fatally shot himself, and seven store employees died of smoke inhalation.[45][46] Fire Department officials discovered that the store's sprinkler had been shut down, in violation of the local fire code.[47] Sharpton claimed that the perpetrator was an open critic of himself and his nonviolent tactics. Sharpton later expressed regret for making the racial remark, "white interloper," and denied responsibility for inflaming or provoking the violence.[12][48]"
Yes sir, denying responsibility, that's some accountability all right. The same Wikipedia article citied above also contains information about the Crown Heights riot, that happened in 1991...
"The Crown Heights Riot began on August 19, 1991, after a car driven by a Jewish man, and part of a procession led by an unmarked police car, went through an intersection and was struck by another vehicle causing it to veer onto the sidewalk where it accidentally struck and killed a seven-year-old Guyanese boy named Gavin Cato and severely injured his cousin Angela. Witnesses could not agree upon the speed and could not agree whether the light was yellow or red. One of the factors that sparked the riot was the arrival of a private ambulance which, on the orders of a police officer worried for the Jewish driver's safety, removed the uninjured driver from the scene while Cato lay pinned under his car.[34] Cato and his cousin were treated soon after by a city ambulance. Caribbean-American and African-American residents of the neighborhood rioted for four consecutive days fueled by rumors that the private ambulance had refused to treat Cato.[34][35] During the riot blacks looted stores,[34] beat Jews in the street,[34] and clashed with groups of Jews, hurling rocks and bottles at one another [36] after Yankel Rosenbaum, a visiting student from Australia, was stabbed and killed by a member of a mob shouting "Kill the Jew."[37] Sharpton, who arranged a rally in Crown Heights after Cato's death,[34] has been seen by some commentators as inflaming tensions by making remarks that included "If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house"[38] and referring to Jews as "diamond merchants."[39] Sharpton marched through Crown Heights and in front of "770", shortly after the riot, with about 400 protesters (who chanted "Whose streets? Our streets!" and "No justice, no peace!"), in spite of Mayor David Dinkins' attempts to keep the march from happening.[40]"
Again, where's the accountability Al? I bet you can't guess who is good friends with Reverand Sharpton....
That's wright, oops I mean, that's right Barack Obama, the candidate for "Change", who appears to have developed a pattern of befriending racist, anti-semetic ministers. Now that's Wright below."In March 2008, a controversy broke out concerning Barack Obama's long-term relationship with Wright, his former pastor and religious mentor.[27][28] ABC News found several racially and politically charged sermons by Wright, including his suggestion that past U.S. policies were partially responsibile for the September 11 attacks, his statement, "God bless America... No!... God Damn America...for killing innocent people...for treating her citizens as less than human," and his assertion that "[t]he government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color."[29][30] Some of Wright's statements were widely interpreted as being deeply offensive...
Wright has been quoted as saying: "When [Obama’s] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli [to visit Muammar al-Gaddafi] with [Louis] Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell."[
Wright, also married Barack and his wife Michelle, as well as, baptized their children. It is interesting that Wright mentioned Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan is another Black Supremacist "reverand" who is associated with Barack Obamba.
Again, quoting Wikipedia:
"Louis Farrakhan (born Louis Eugene Walcott, May 11, 1933), is the acting head of the Nation of Islam (NOI) as the National Representative of Elijah Muhammad. He is also well-known as an advocate for African American interests and a critic of American society. [1][2][3] Farrakhan currently resides in Kenwood, an affluent neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, and part time at a Nation of Islam farm in New Buffalo, Michigan.
Farrakhan has been the center of much controversy, and critics contend that some of his views and comments have been racist, homophobic, and antisemitic"
According to the Nation of Islam website:
"The Nation of Islam under the leadership of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is the catalyst for the growth and development of Islam in America"
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Farrakhan endorsed Barack Obama for President. Barack Obama has based his candidacy on "Change". Based on who he chooses to associate with, I'd say "Change" is coming all right.
Mr. Obama; is this the type of "Change" we can expect from you?

Oh never mind!
